A Short Hike

Something to do on a nice spring day.  Trout festival going on in town, I was looking for a way to escape the madness.  No desire for me to go on carnival rides, visit the flea market, or manage the traffic, the people, the noise, chaos.  There is a place I haven't visited since I was young; the school forest.  Close to town, but far enough away to wander an interesting area.  A small river twists and turns around a well maintained trail system.  But, as you should know, I wore my tall waterproof boots,  to wander the surrounding marsh, looking for that special shot far from the trail.
The area suffered an extreme wind storm, such that people thought there were tornado's, blowing over and breaking massive trees.  A few trees by my house as well were affected by the winds, breaking and uprooting trees; such is nature.
My latest photo blog contain photos from our, my wife went as well carrying my tripod, however keeping to the trail while I wandered through muck, called "A Short Hike".
Take a trip back in time with me as I return to where I first explored a "forest".
Michael
